Australia Post plays a vital role in keeping Australia moving. Behind every delivery is a complex, intelligent network and we are continuing to evolve how that network operates to meet the demands of today and tomorrow.
As eCommerce grows and customer expectations continue to shift, we are investing in smarter, more scalable ways of working. This includes how we design, manage and partner across our delivery network. We are building what is next and looking for leaders who want to shape it with us.
About the opportunity
As Head of Delivery Partner Strategy, you will lead the design and evolution of our national delivery partner network.
This is a critical senior leadership role sitting at the intersection of strategy, commercial performance and network optimisation. You will shape how our partner network is structured, scaled and sustained to ensure we can meet demand while balancing cost, capacity and service outcomes.
You will bring a forward‐looking lens, embedding network design into planning cycles and ensuring we are set up for both growth and peak periods. At the same time, you will continuously evolve commercial models to reflect true cost to serve and drive the right performance outcomes across our partner network.
What you'll deliver with us
Reporting to the GM Delivery Partners, you will work closely with leaders across Network Operations, Finance and Commercial to align strategy with execution.
Your success will be measured by how effectively our partner network supports service reliability, financial sustainability and future growth.
You will also:
* Lead the design and optimisation of the delivery partner network to balance coverage, capacity and cost to serve
* Embed network planning into quarterly cycles to enable proactive, data‐led decisions on footprint and partner mix
* Translate complex data and modelling into clear, practical strategies that can be executed operationally
* Influence senior stakeholders across Operations, Commercial and Finance to align on a unified network strategy
About you
You are a strategic and commercially minded leader with deep experience in logistics, supply chain or network optimisation.
You are comfortable operating at both an enterprise and operational level, able to translate complex data into clear direction while bringing others on the journey. You thrive in environments where you can shape strategy, influence decision making and deliver long‐term impact.
You will also bring
* Extensive experience in network design, last mile delivery strategy or supply chain optimisation within high volume environments
* Strong commercial capability, including cost to serve modelling, pricing structures and financial performance management
* Proven experience designing and managing third party or contractor‐based delivery models
* Experience working with data, analytics and forecasting to inform strategic decisions
* Tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain, logistics, engineering or a related discipline is preferred
How we'll deliver for you
* The opportunity to lead in Australia Post's most complex and innovative transformation journey.
* Exposure to enterprise‐scale automation, technology and network transformation.
* Genuine influence shaping national network performance.
* Leadership development, flexibility and career growth within a purpose‐led organisation.
