Location: Brisbane (work from home 2 days a week)
Help shape high level safety risk strategy, assurance and enterprise improvement — this is not a frontline Safety Advisor role.
We're seeking a Safety Risk & Assurance specialist with strong critical thinking and analytical capability and experience working at an enterprise level.
This role focuses on risk management, assurance activities, systems improvement and organisational uplift, rather than day-to-day safety advisory tasks.
You'll partner with senior stakeholders across the business to strengthen risk awareness, evaluate controls, and support the continuous improvement of our safety risk management and assurance systems.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead second line assurance activities and support enterprise audit functions.
Facilitate and influence high level safety risk assessments and risk reviews.
Assist in designing, testing and maintaining safety risk management and assurance frameworks and systems.
Coach and mentor safety professionals to uplift risk and assurance capability.
Support business wide improvement initiatives addressing critical risk areas.
This Role Will Suit Someone Who…
Has formal training and or equivalent experience in risk management techniques (mandatory).
Has 3-5+ years in safety management, auditing, assurance, or risk roles (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of safety legislation and regulatory requirements
Operates confidently in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
Brings strong communication, influencing and coaching skills.
Works strategically — with less emphasis on frontline safety advisory duties.
