developXR is a Canberra-based startup innovating in the rapidly expanding Virtual and Augmented Reality sector. From Australia to Germany, we build custom immersive solutions for a global client base. We are looking for a motivated Unity Programmer to join our team and help build the next generation of spatial computing experiences.
THE ROLE
developXR is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is motivated and willing to work with our team based in Canberra.
The position is offered full-time with flexible working hours and will involve developing and testing applications for various virtual reality and augmented reality headsets such as the Hololens 2, Meta Quest 3, and more. This will be primarily done with the Unity Game Engine using C#. While most of the work can be completed remotely, applicants will be preferred if they can facilitate a weekly in-person peer coding session. There may also be opportunities for paid travel to meet clients and field test applications.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Solid grasp of development and programming principles using C# and/or C++
* Proficient with Unity Engine for crafting experiences on Virtual and Augmented Reality platforms like Meta Quest 3 and the HoloLens 2.
* Experienced with 3D CAD software and 3D modelling pipelines (e.g., Inventor, 3DS Max, or Blender)
* Diligent in maintaining precise program development documentation.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Committed to working towards team goals in a collaborative environment.
* Skilled in tailoring communication strategies to cater to specific customer needs.
* Works closely with programmers, interdisciplinary teams, and clients to ensure project alignment and meet timelines.
