Senior Project Engineer - Telecommunications Systems & Infrastructure

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to take ownership of engineering delivery - coordinating teams, driving performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to scope.
* Major Projects
* 18 month fixed-term contract, extension / conversion to FTE based on performance
* $160-190k + super
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a critical leadership role in coordinating engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
* Coordinate and oversee engineering delivery across multidisciplinary teams for assigned projects
* Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to meet delivery targets
* Manage engineering scope, priorities, resources, and schedules
* Oversee design reviews, Safety in Design, and engineering compliance
* Manage technical queries, engineering change, and design deliverables
* Interface with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
* Drive project performance, reporting, and technical outcomes
* Support site works, commissioning, and project closeout
* Mentor and support junior engineers and team development
* Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes
What you’ll need to be successful in the role
* Full Australian working rights – this role offers no form of Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. Applicants that require sponsorship will not be considered.
* Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic Engineering (or similar)
* 10+ years’ experience in engineering project delivery
* Background in telecommunications, mining, oil & gas, defence, or infrastructure
* Proven experience in EPC environments and large-scale project execution
* Strong knowledge of engineering design, delivery processes, project scheduling, estimating & reporting, contract scope and change management
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex deliverables
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility (Engineers Australia) – HIGHLY REGARDED
