About the role
Lucas Civil Group is seeking a talented Civil Site Engineer to join our growing team in Penrith, NSW. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our civil infrastructure projects, contributing your expertise and passion for engineering to drive innovative solutions.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing and coordinating site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards
* Analysing and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to guide construction activities
* Identifying and resolving technical issues, collaborating with the project team to implement effective resolutions
* Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and providing regular updates to project managers
* Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities
* Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, design documentation, and project records
* Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and site personnel
What we're looking for
* Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or construction management
* At least 1 years of experience as a Civil Site Engineer, preferably in the the Civil sector
* Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Familiarity with relevant construction methodologies, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures
* Proven experience in project coordination and site management
* Capabilities to use MS Project, Excel and word
