About the Role
We are currently recruiting a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Beef City Feedlot Maintenance Team in a full-time capacity.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position forms part of a small team that is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the feedlot, farm infrastructure and plant.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance
* General welding and fabrication duties
* Engagingin making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments andappliances
* Ensuring that all work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
* Supporting other projects that may arise
About You
* Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
* Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
* Experience welding and cutting withS/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team
* Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
* Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
* Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
* Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
