Property Law Specialist Role
We are seeking an expert to join our Property Law Group in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in exercising our functions and powers under Chapter 5A of the Corporations Act 2001.
* You will be responsible for handling enquiries related to company deregistration, assessing simple applications such as property transfers and mortgage discharges, preparing submissions for the Property Law Delegate, and responding to legal proceedings served on ASIC regarding deregistered companies.
* You will take on additional tasks as needed, work professionally and cooperatively while embodying our values of Accountability, Professionalism, and Teamwork, and ensure the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace.
To succeed in this position, you should have knowledge and exposure to various areas of law, especially property law and conveyancing. You must be able to interpret and apply legislation administered by us, including the Corporations Act 2001, and quickly acquire knowledge of property law legislation across all Australian jurisdictions.
You need well-developed written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Your capacity to interpret legislation and adapt to new legal frameworks will be crucial in ensuring your success in this position.
