**About the Opportunity**
The Aboriginal Social Work Team is responsible for providing culturally responsive psychosocial interventions and support to families with children aged 0-5 across SWSLHD. The Social Work Team supports families from a strengths-based model, providing holistic care within trauma informed, culturally safe interventions. Social Work ensures psychosocial supports and interventions are established in collaboration with the family and are adaptive to reflect their changing needs.
**About the Team**
The Aboriginal Social Work Team Leader is based at Narellan Community Health Centre, supporting Aboriginal families across SWSLHD by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide culturally responsive service collaboration, case management and reviews.
The Aboriginal Social Work team is made up of five Social Workers who support a larger multidisciplinary Aboriginal Child & Family team. The Aboriginal Child & Family team is a culturally led service with nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers and Allied Health professionals who work in partnership with families across SWSLHD to achieve better outcomes.
The Team Leader will manage the Aboriginal Social Work team day to day, consult with the Aboriginal Child and Family nursing staff, attend leadership meetings and manage a clinical case load.
**Where you'll be Working**
SWSLHD operates its services on the lands of the Dharawal, Darug and Gundungurra peoples and has a rich history of working alongside local Aboriginal organisations and programs. As the Aboriginal Social Work Team Leader you will work closely with the Director of Aboriginal Health and be connected to a broad range of Aboriginal Health Services, including a dedicated Aboriginal Child and Family Health Service. You will have access to a wide range of clinical and cultural supports across the service including professional development, cultural supervision, and a large network of Aboriginal Health colleagues.
