Team Leader – OSHC
Austral Court Public School
About Whoosh Care
Whoosh Care is a boutique before and after school care provider established in 2015. We deliver high-quality OSHC programs grounded in children's voice, strong educator practice, and genuine partnerships with school communities.
We are small and privately owned by design. That is not a limitation, it is our advantage. It allows us to maintain high standards, staff properly, support our leaders closely, and prioritise quality practice over scale.
If you are an experienced OSHC leader who is tired of being under-resourced, under-supported, or expected to "just make it work", this role is for you.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to lead our OSHC service at Austral Court Public School.
This 36 hour a week leadership role is responsible for the daily operation of the service, including program delivery, team leadership, and compliance with legislation, policies, and the National Quality Framework.
The position includes some mornings and five afternoons per week, with over 10 hours of paid administration time built in. You will have the time, staffing, and support to lead properly, not just survive the day.
What You Will Do
* Lead the day-to-day operation of the OSHC service with confidence and clarity
* Design and deliver engaging, child-led programs with your two age group coordinators
* Actively involve children in program planning and document their learning and experiences
* Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the school community
* Lead daily routines and transitions in a calm, structured, and predictable way
* Supervise, mentor, and support a team of educators to perform at their best
* Maintain high standards of compliance across policies, procedures, and legislation
* Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader and support team
What We Offer
* Above-award wages
* A stable, experienced team of permanent educators
* Real staffing support so ratios and routines are sustainable
* Strong leadership backing and access to decision-makers
* Autonomy to lead your program and shape your team culture
* Ongoing professional development and leadership growth
* Direct support from an experienced Educational Leader
* A provider that genuinely prioritises Child Safe Standards and inclusive practice
This is a role where you are supported to be a leader, not a firefighter.
What You Bring
* NSW Working With Children Check
* First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
* Proven leadership experience in OSHC
* Strong understanding of compliance and quality practice
* Confidence leading teams and managing daily operations
* A calm, organised, and professional leadership style
How to Apply
To be considered, please include a cover letter outlining your leadership experience, your interest in the role, and your available start date.
If you are ready to lead in an environment that values quality, supports its leaders, and takes school-aged care seriously, we would like to hear from you.
