Founded in 1989, Kiind is a 'for purpose' organisation dedicated to walking alongside Western Australian families raising children with disability, developmental delay, or medical needs. With a membership of nearly 7,000 families, Kiind is the largest organisation of its kind in WA. From its base near Perth Children's Hospital, it provides free services including information, navigation, peer connection, and advocacy, empowering families at every stage of their journey. Its work is recognised for its authenticity, impact, and influence — combining lived experience with systemic advocacy to shape a more inclusive society.
The Position:
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership across all aspects of the organisation. This includes:
* Implementing Kiind's strategic plan and advancing its mission and values.
* Leading a close‑knit and passionate team of staff and volunteers.
* Strengthening financial sustainability and diversifying revenue streams.
* Representing Kiind as its public voice and principal advocate with government and the community.
* Building and maintaining key partnerships to enhance influence and impact.
* Providing clear direction and support to a committed team and volunteer network.
* Ensuring robust governance, compliance, and operational excellence across all programs.
This is a deeply meaningful leadership opportunity to sustain and grow an organisation that makes a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of families across Western Australia who care for a family member with a disability.
About You:
You are a strategic and values‑driven leader who brings:
* Executive experience in the community or health and human services education sectors.
* Proven capability in stakeholder engagement, particularly with government and funding partners.
* Strong financial, governance, and operational management skills.
* The ability to lead with authenticity, empathy, and resilience.
* Experience driving strategy, advocacy, and organisational growth.
