The Grounds Supervisor oversees the development, improvement, presentation and preservation of College grounds including sporting fields, turf, gardens and walkways.
Responsibilities
* Oversee sporting field, turf, garden, walkway and overall grounds maintenance and care, including watering, cleaning, slashing, edging, mowing, planting, propagating, pruning, weeding, mulching and fertilising.
* Prepare sporting fields for events and carnivals, including overseeing line marking.
* Manage, maintain and repair reticulation and irrigation systems.
* Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, aerators, cultivators, corers, sprayers, tractors and attachments.
* Supervise grounds staff, coordinate day‐to‐day operations and allocate work duties to ensure high standards of grounds and equipment upkeep.
* Assist with general grounds and maintenance tasks as required.
* Foster strong relationships with the College community and external stakeholders.
* Proactively manage a risk‐averse operation and foster a positive culture.

About you
* Strong experience and knowledge of horticulture, turf and grounds management practices and responsibilities.
* Experience in reticulation systems, chemical pesticide and fertiliser management, and cultivating organic treatments for sporting fields.
* Technical expertise in a wide range of plant and equipment associated with sports field management.
* Dedication to integrity, reliability, sound judgement, service and risk adversity.
* Qualifications in Horticulture and/or Sports Turf Management, or a relevant equivalent.
* Current open‐class driver licence, Working at Heights ticket, Forklift and ACDC Chemical Distribution licence, Front End Loader ticket, or willingness to obtain.
* Certification and licences in workplace health and safety, well regarded.
* Working with Children blue card.
* Physical fitness to work across a vibrant campus and perform manual handling tasks.
