Manual Music – an evolving regional health service just 90 minutes from Melbourne seeks an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Emergency Medicine to lead our growing Emergency Department.
About the Role
The Director of Emergency Medicine provides strategic, clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient‑centred emergency care.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and managing the Emergency Department to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care
* Overseeing clinical governance, quality, safety and risk management
* Managing workforce planning, recruitment, rostering and performance of medical staff
* Driving service improvement, innovation and patient‑flow optimisation
* Building strong partnerships with internal teams, regional services and external stakeholders
* Supporting education, training and professional development across the department
About You
We are seeking a collaborative, motivated and visionary Emergency Medicine leader.
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent, with full AHPRA registration
* Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent
* Extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, including leadership within multidisciplinary teams
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to lead change, improve systems and achieve operational outcomes
* A commitment to patient‑centred care, quality improvement and clinical excellence
