About the role:
Cater Care is seeking a reliable
Catering Assistant
to support daily food service operations at an aged care facility in
Byron Bay
. This role focuses on assisting with meal service while helping create a positive, welcoming dining experience for residents.
Roster
* Monday, Thursday & Friday: 2:30pm - 7:00pm
* Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:00pm - 1:30pm
What This Role Involves
* Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
* Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
* Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
* Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
* Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
* Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
* Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
* Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
