Job Description
As a Senior Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving a strong safety culture across the project. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with safety standards, minimize risk, and promote a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
The project involves transforming Australia's freight network by connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure a secure working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in a safety advisory role, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior safety position, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry.
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or a related field.
* Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
* Demonstrated experience in incident investigations and risk management.
* High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
