The Role
You'll be our Senior Videographer, owning end-to-end production on client shoots across Australia. Plan it, shoot it, deliver it clean and fast to our editing team.
This role has serious growth potential for the right person—whether that's stepping into more creative direction, mentoring shooters as we scale, or shaping how we approach production strategy. But first, we need someone who can absolutely nail the craft.
Location: You must be based in South-East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast) with national travel. All shoot costs covered: flights, food, ground transport, incidentals.
What You'll Own
Pre-Production: Shot lists, schedules, call sheets, client coordination. You'll plan shoots that run like clockwork.
On-Set: You're directing talent (talking heads, vox pops, UGC-style, brand pieces), managing small crews, and making quick creative calls. Light fast and clean for social and ad deliverables. Capture coverage that performs.
Shooting for Performance: This isn't broadcast. This is Meta ads, VSLs, and social content built to stop thumbs and hold attention. You'll master thumb-stop hooks, pattern interrupts, retention-optimized framing, and dual-format shooting (vertical + 16:9).
Post-Shoot Handoff: Clean data management. Organized uploads within 24 hours. Shot notes that make editors love you. No chaos, no missing files, no drama.
What You Bring
The Craft
* 2+ years shooting branded content, social, or ads professionally
* You know how to light a two-person interview fast and make it look effortless
* Clean audio is non-negotiable—you can capture dialogue that doesn't need a miracle in post
* Vertical framing, hook theory, ad pacing—you get it
* Run-and-gun or controlled setups—you're comfortable with both
* Gimbal, tripod, handheld—you know when to use what
The Mindset
* You think beyond the camera: what's the marketing goal, who's the audience, what's the call to action?
* You're comfortable directing talent and keeping energy high when things go sideways
* You care about the results: what hooks are working, why certain shots convert, how creative impacts performance
* You want to do work that matters—not just work that looks pretty
The Logistics
* Must be based in South-East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast)
* Ready to travel nationally multiple times per month
* Reliable internet, solid backup workflows, media management that would make a DIT proud
* Valid driver's licence, dependable, punctual
* Portfolio showing talking heads, b-roll, and small-crew production that looks good
Gear
* Own kit is recommended but not required—if you've got pro gear (cinema/hybrid camera like FX3/S5/A7S/Komodo, fast glass, dual lavs, key light, gimbal), that's a plus
* If not, we'll work it out—what matters most is that you know how to use professional equipment to deliver consistent, high-quality results
