We're seeking a highly organised, proactive and capability-focused Systems Manager. This role plays a key part in supporting the sustainment, enhancement, and operational readiness of product environment—critical digital capabilities used across the organisation.
About the Role
As the Systems Manager, you will coordinate system enhancements, manage sustainment activities, and ensure operational alignment across multiple technical and stakeholder groups. You'll partner closely with the Product Manager, capability owners and functional teams to deliver uplift initiatives that strengthen deployed ICT capabilities.
This is a dynamic, diverse role that requires excellent coordination, communication, and organisational skills—ideal for someone experienced in ICT, systems management, or capability delivery environments.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of approved system enhancements
* Coordinate cross‐functional SMEs to deliver multiple workstreams in parallel.
* Maintain strategic planning artefacts, including roadmaps, timelines, and milestone tracking.
* Oversee licensing compliance, renewals, and entitlement accuracy.
* Provide reporting inputs, including performance, risk/issue updates, and scheduling impacts.
* Collaborate with engineering, cyber, ILS, training, procurement, and finance teams.
* Engage units around testing, release planning, operational acceptance, and readiness.
* Identify and Escalate risks, issues, or resource constraints.
* Ensure documentation, training content, and configuration items remain accurate and up to date.
* Support alignment with governance, security, and compliance requirements.
We're looking for candidates with:
* Experience leading projects, ICT sustainment, or system improvement initiatives.
* Strong understanding of sustainment principles—configuration, licensing, documentation, lifecycle management.
* Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams (engineering, cyber, logistics, training, procurement).
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and operational groups.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities.
* Familiarity with ITSM, change management, or enhancement delivery processes.
