Overview
Two Positions Available. Continuing, Full-Time (Part-Time Negotiable). School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, CQUniversity Cairns, Townsville, Mackay or Rockhampton. One position must be based in Cairns (Master of Nursing - Graduate Entry).
Total Remuneration: $134,885 to $157,870 per annum (including salary of $113,980 to $133,403 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading).
About the Role
Join CQUniversity as a Lecturer in Nursing (Academic Level B) and help build the future of healthcare by educating and inspiring the next generation of nursing professionals. You will develop and deliver high-quality, profession-specific education across Master's or undergraduate nursing programs, contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly research, and foster industry partnerships to enhance the student experience and program growth. The role involves teaching in both face-to-face and online modes, supervisory opportunities for honours and postgraduate students, and collaboration with colleagues across disciplines. Engagement with local health services, schools, and networks will strengthen community connections and expand the reach of the nursing program.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver high-quality nursing education across Master's and undergraduate programs.
* Contribute to curriculum development and engage in scholarly research.
* Foster industry partnerships and strengthen community connections to expand program reach.
* Supervise honours and postgraduate students; collaborate across disciplines.
* Engage with local health services, schools, and networks; support online and on-campus delivery.

Position Requirements
* Undergraduate nursing degree and Master's qualification; minimum three-year recent post-registration clinical experience.
* Registration as a Nurse (Division 1) in Australia; evidence of meeting NMBA Recency of Practice registration standards (AHPRA site).
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or ability to complete within 12 months of commencement.
* Proven ability to educate nursing students, including writing course materials and teaching in clinical and academic nursing fields.
* Willingness to participate in research and scholarly activities, including publications, conferences, and grants.
* PhD completed or enrolled with Confirmation of Candidature (or near CoC) – Desirable.
