About The Role
We are looking for an innovative, skilled, and committed Social Worker, Psychologist, or Counsellor to fill a full-time position for Violence, Abuse, and Neglect (VAN) team based at Inverell Community Health Centre.
The VAN team will provide delivery of NSW Health Sexual Assault and Child Protection Counselling Services to communities across Inverell, Tingha, Glen Innes, Warialda, Tenterfield, Bingara and Ashford.
You will be well assisted in this role with both training and support from the Inverell Community Health Manager, the Violence, Abuse and Neglect Clinical Co-ordinator and Aboriginal Family Wellbeing and Violence Prevention Network. You will be well connected with peers in similar roles throughout the district and clinical and cultural supervision will be regularly provided.

Where You'll Be Working
The population of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across these communities range from 7.5% to 50%. Our team collaborates closely with the Aboriginal Family Wellbeing and Violence Prevention Facilitator at Armidale Community Health Centre to enhance engagement and address local Aboriginal community needs. This involves building strong partnerships with Aboriginal services within and outside the health sector.

* You can provide culturally responsive support, counselling and advocacy for children, young people, adults and families who are surviving or have survived violence, abuse and neglect.
Requirements
* Must hold a qualification: Psychology, Social Work, Counsellor which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence and ability to travel as part of the role within an outreach capacity.

* This position is full time; however, job share and/or part time arrangements will be considered.
