Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services. Northeast Health Wangaratta is recruiting for an Enrolled Nurse with demonstrated experience in paediatric nursing to complement and enhance our recently established stand alone Paediatric Unit.
Responsibilities
The Paediatric Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model, promoting a culture that supports practices that reflect the Northeast Health Wangaratta's CORE values of Caring, Excellence, Respect, Integrity and fairness through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees. The Paediatric Unit provides care for infants through to adolescent children, aged 0-18, and includes medical, surgical and mental health care, a pre-admission clinic and paediatric review clinics.\"\"We also work collaboratively with Hospital In The Home and Paediatric Integrated Cancer Services.
Our Region
Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000 and our catchment serves a community of around 100 000 throughout the northeast. It is the main public referral centre for the Alpine and Hume region. The region features national parks, small towns, restaurants, wineries and breweries.
