Assistant Store Manager Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to fill this key role. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal part in driving sales growth and enhancing customer loyalty, ensuring a competitive advantage for the brand.
Main Responsibilities:
* To support the Store Manager in guaranteeing the efficient operation of the store and delivering exceptional customer service by driving sales and building customer loyalty to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets.
* To efficiently execute all operational activities of the store, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administration.
* To successfully execute in-store visual merchandising, ensuring the in-store presentation and promotional standards are met and that the appearance of the store aligns with the brand image.
* To motivate and direct staff to achieve their targets and performance goals, effectively managing them in the absence of the store manager.
* To execute customer service initiatives in store that result in a superior customer experience, drives customer loyalty, and achieves club card participation targets.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Grade 12 (Mathematics 50% and English 50%)
* Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management
* Minimum 1 year's experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion of the relevant training program
* Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios)
