Details: The Finance Officer role operates within a major transformation program focused on establishing whole of government Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capability to enable the ACT Government.
The Finance Officer reports to the Director, Commercial and Program Finance and provides essential financial and administrative support to a critical program within Digital Canberra.
Key responsibilities include managing procurement documentation, processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with government financial policies and reporting standards. The role works closely with program teams and external vendors to support efficient and transparent financial operations.

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
* Reasonable understanding of ACT Government financial and administrative processes and policies, or similar.
* Good understanding of accounting framework.
* Ability to develop and maintain project financial reporting and cost analysis.
* Ability to work with external vendors.
* Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders of varying professional disciplines.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple agendas in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent negotiation, communications, and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications in accounting and/or related field.

Compliance Requirements / Qualifications
* A current ACT Government Digital Canberra issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is required for this position, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
* This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
* Driver's license class C is not essential.
* This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
* This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
* The position is based in the ACT.
