What you'll be doing

The Sleep Medicine supports diagnostic and treatment facilities to infants, children and adolescents with sleep associated and chronic respiratory disorders. The Scientific Officer (SO) works alongside the continuum of Sleep Medicine, mainly working with patients in the wards and the home, and liaison with the Sleep Unit. The Sleep Medicine SO will work in collaboration and co-operation with patients, families, nursing, medical and Biomedical Engineering staff.

The position encompasses diverse responsibilities ensuring initiation, assessment, teaching and management of non‑invasive sleep equipment to enable the patient to successfully transition to home.


About You

* Bachelor of Science with health care related discipline.
* Experience with non‑invasive pressure support / ventilation, including patient monitoring, respiratory, intensive care or sleep studies.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching children, adolescents and families.
