Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Traffic and Transport Engineer to provide expert guidance, coordination, and leadership in the area of traffic and transport engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical advice on traffic-related matters affecting the community and road users.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders on transport-related issues.
* Develop detailed planning and design for traffic and road safety-related projects.
* Apply high-level analytical, programming, scheduling, and monitoring skills using MS Project or similar software.
* Utilize traffic simulation and modeling software such as Sidra.
* Prepare grant applications and acquittal processing for various programs, including Blackspot, Perth Bicycle Network, and other Federal/State applications.
* Interpret relevant legislation, standards, and codes, particularly Road Traffic Code 2000.
* Represent the organization on major developments impacting existing road infrastructure.
* Conduct comprehensive reporting and advise on road safety outcomes.
* Review traffic impact assessments from external agencies and private developers.
* Manage traffic data collection programs.
* Assist with parking management reviews as needed.

Requirements:
