Speech Language Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality services to individuals with Autism and their families.
About the Role
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to deliver a broad range of therapy services to a diverse caseload, including standardized and non-standardized assessments for clients with speech and language difficulties. You will also provide therapeutic support and information to families and key stakeholders, promoting inclusion and participation across various settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver therapy services to clients with autism and their families
* Complete specialist communication assessments and provide recommendations for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
* Provide training and support to families and caregivers on Positive Behaviour Support strategies
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans for clients
* Contribute to the development of new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of our clients
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
* Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience working with individuals with Autism and their families is highly desirable
