Senior People & Culture Advisor
This is a key appointment in the People & Culture team, offering an exciting opportunity to shape the employee experience in a mission-driven organisation.
The Senior People & Culture Advisor will play a critical role in supporting the College's HR operations and strategic direction. This position is ideal for a values-led HR professional with experience managing complex employee relations, driving operational HR excellence, and leading a small team within a multifaceted environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding.
* Manage cyclical HR processes, ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, NES, and relevant industrial instruments.
* Lead and guide HR staff to deliver high-quality and consistent service.
* Advise and support leaders on employee relations matters, such as performance concerns, investigations, and workplace conflict resolution.
* Partner with stakeholders to ensure people practices align with organisational objectives and regulatory obligations.
* Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with best practice and legislative changes.
* Maintain data integrity across HRIS platforms and generate accurate reports and workforce insights.
About You:
* You will possess tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering capacity, preferably within education or similarly complex sectors.
* In-depth understanding of Australian employment law, ER/IR frameworks, and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring HR professionals.
* Advanced capability in award interpretation, policy development, and operational HR practices.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* A high level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
* Proficiency with HRIS platforms and data reporting.
