The mission of Facilities and Services Division is to "Enable academic excellence at ANU through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery." The three key portfolios are Infrastructure and Planning, Operations and Corporate.
The Operations portfolio has the responsibility for managing campus wide Building Maintenance, Building Operations, Security and Transport, Landscape and Conservation and the ANU Remote Sites across the ACT, NSW and NT.
The Associate Director will provide leadership in supporting the direction of the division through continual improvement and change. The Associate Director will have a significant role in supporting the division's operational and divisional plans and facilitating the achievement of the University's strategic goals as described in the ANU Strategic Plan.
The Associate Director, under broad direction of the Director, Facilities and Services, will ensure that all aspects of the Building Operations of the ANU in terms of its Preventative, Statutory and Reactive Maintenance, Building Operations (including campus-wide Waste and Cleaning services), campus Security and Guarding services, Landscape and Conservation, and management of the University's remote sites, are delivered in a manner consistent with institutional priorities, with a high level of focus on contract management, data driven decision making and a high level of customer service and communications at the same time ensuring alignment with University governance, appropriate legislative and statutory frameworks and financial controls.
