**Job Description**:
As PR & Communications Manager you will collaborate closely with the Customer Activation Team to be able to find synergies and maximise the effect of our earned communication. You lead the PR & Communications team in accordance with H&M values, standards, policies and procedures. You support with strategic input to ensure the best possible result and follow up and report on all activities and projects. You are in close contact with the global communications team.

Key responsibilities include**:
**Communications**:

- Create the local annual communications plan and set goals, strategies and follow up to meet the regional and AU & NZ market overall objectives
- Responsible for monitoring media, risk assessment and advising senior management on communication issues
- Build, strengthen and safeguard the H&M brand by trustworthy communication
- Act as AU & NZ spokesperson working with reactive and proactive media relations
- Responsible for local crisis communications strategy and key member of local Crisis Team
- Responsible for setting internal communications strategy and supporting change communications
- Creation of local internal and external messages for the business
- Set corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategy and strengthen stakeholder relationships
- Responsible for sustainability, retail expansion, financial and employer branding communications

**Public Relations**:

- Responsible for developing H&M's local media picture as a leading fashion brand
- Responsible for AU & NZ PR strategies and executing brand activities including media pitching, press showings, event management and productions
- Collaborate with Marketing department to leverage paid media
- Responsible for adapting and quality-proofing press releases, including creation of local press releases
- Management of PR agencies including tender, selection and evaluation
- Strategy lead for local Sydney showroom and influencer strategy

**Leadership**:

- Create conditions to enable performance of teams and individuals
- Identify and develop talents to build future organisation
- Strengthen and foster team collaboration

Besides your personality we see that you have:

- A communication degree/relevant qualification
- 5 - 10 years' experience in communications and PR. Experience across the retail sector including sustainability knowledge is preferable
- Proven strategic communications experience in corporate and fashion PR, media relations, and internal and crisis communications
- A strategic mindset with strong planning and prioritising skills, you understand synergies between owned, paid & earned media
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and presenting skills
- Proven track record in creating movement in brand perception through PR & communications activities and experience of working with local media (fashion & corporate).
- Experience in managing teams and strengthening collaboration
- Project management and/or agency management experience
- Experience working with talent and a high understanding of the local influencer landscape including a strong network with journalists, stylists and influencers.
- Proven experience executing brand-aligned partnerships and corporate social responsibility partnerships
