Café Supervisor
Management (Hospitality and Tourism) Employment Type:
Full-Time Salary: $70,000 per annum plus superannuation and statutory leave entitlements
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Café Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily operations of our café. This role is a genuine full-time position and forms part of the ongoing operational requirements of the business.

Key Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry
* Strong leadership and people-management skills, including staff supervision and training
* Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
* Demonstrated experience in staff rostering, workflow coordination, and performance management
* Sound knowledge of food safety, food hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
* Experience in cash handling, banking, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
* Competency in stock control, ordering, inventory management, and cost control
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Reliable, punctual, and committed with flexible availability as required by business operations
The Role
* Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the café to ensure efficient service delivery
* Coordinate and oversee food and beverage preparation and service to maintain quality standards
* Supervise, train, and support staff to ensure compliance with operational procedures and service standards
* Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels in line with business demands
* Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS legislation at all times
* Manage cash handling procedures, daily banking, and reconciliation processes
* Monitor inventory levels, place orders, minimise wastage, and control operational costs
* Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance products or services
* Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and address customer feedback and complaints
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff as required
