About the Company:
Australian Garnetowns the Lucky Bay Garnet mine, which has a mine life of 30 years. We are an owner miner with our own fleet of mining equipment, have a fully operational processing plant, packaging plant and 7 wind turbines, construction was completed approximately 3 years ago and is located 30 kilometers from Kalbarri.
This position will be a 8:6 FIFO role form Perth to Geraldton, staying in Kalbarri camp accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide safety advice in line with WHS Actand mining regulations.
* Support development and implementation of Safety Management Plans.
* Conduct risk assessments, JSAs, audits and incident investigations.
* Monitor compliance with safety procedures and permit to work systems.
* Manage incidents, hazards and corrective actions in the INX system.
* Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and refresher training.
* Coordinate emergency response capability, drills and ERT training.
* Maintain emergency equipment readiness and Emergency Management Plans.
* Liaise with contractors, site leadership and emergency services.
* Promote continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
What you need to Succeed:
* Advanced Diploma or above in Occupational Health & Safety.
* Current Cert IV Health Care.
* Current Cert III Emergency Response & Rescue.
* Current WA Driver's Licence.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in mining or heavy industrial leadership roles.
* Experience in incident investigation and reporting (ICAM / TapRooT).
* Strong knowledge ofrisk management, loss prevention and safety management systems.
* Sound understanding of WA WHS and Workers' Compensation legislation.
* Strong stakeholder engagement with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
