The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Intermodal Pricing Coordinator to join a rapidly growing area of our business. In this role, you will prepare and deliver accurate pricing quotations for MSC offices and play a key part in supporting the team to secure new business while delivering exceptional service to our existing clients.
At MSC, intermodal simply means we manage the whole journey of a container - from the port all the way to its final destination - using inland transport solutions. It's a smooth, end‑to‑end service that keeps things moving efficiently and helps ensure cargo arrives on time and in great condition.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Prepare and review quotations for pre‑carriage and on‑carriage services, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Maintain internal rate sheets and quotation records.
Provide efficient pricing support to MSC agencies, including preparing quotes and following up as needed.
Assist with monthly reporting on procurement, costs, revenue, volumes, targets and tenders.
Support the National Intermodal Operations Manager with reports, pricing scopes and general administrative tasks.
Maintain Intermodal Central Repository (ICR) tariffs and assist in negotiating transport contracts and tariffs.
Promote and sell Intermodal services (Import/Export) within MSC's business network.
Collaborate with the Intermodal operations team for operational insights and recommend solutions to improve processes and client negotiations.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 2 years' experience in shipping preferable, but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels.
Pro‑active approach to solving problems/issues.
Be a self‑starter, disciplined and a collaborative team member always seeking best practice.
