Payroll Manager Job
The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processes. This role involves managing a team of payroll staff, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees in line with industry awards.
* Leading and developing a small team of part-time payroll staff.
* Management of time and attendance systems, including onboarding, roster checks, and leave approvals.
* Ensuring compliance with superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax across multiple states.
* Maintenance of accurate employee records, partnering with teams to ensure data integrity.
* Interpretation of award conditions and support for internal audits and payroll queries.
* Continuously improving payroll processes and workflows.
You'll bring:
* At least 3 years' experience in a payroll leadership or senior payroll officer role.
* Demonstrated expertise as an expert user across time and attendance systems.
* In-depth knowledge and end-to-end payroll processing.
* A solid understanding of high-volume awards.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
