Job Title: Psychiatric Specialist
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will provide evidence-based psychiatric care, contribute to clinical leadership, teaching, and quality initiatives across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct diagnostic psychiatric assessments for youth and adults (16+).
* Formulate treatment plans and provide evidence-based psychiatric care.
* Admit and manage inpatients under admitting rights at St Andrew's Private Hospital.
* Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the Xestro EMR system.
Team Collaboration:
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, GPs, psychologists, mental health nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Additionally, you will engage with external partners including NGOs, DVA, WorkCover, and NDIS support coordinators to ensure comprehensive support for our patients.
Professional Development:
As a Psychiatric Specialist, you will participate in structured supervision with an SCP-accredited supervisor and co-supervisor, contributing to registrar supervision, medical student teaching, and team education sessions at St Andrew's Hospital.
Service Governance & Development:
You will undertake clinical audits, incident reviews, and service evaluation activities to inform strategic planning and development of our programs.
