Data Integration Specialist

The Business Intelligence and Analytics team is responsible for the end-to-end process of acquiring new data, integrating it into a cloud-hosted data warehouse and business intelligence environment, and delivering insightful information to stakeholders. The team's responsibilities include source system analysis, data modeling, data integration, BI report development, and deployment.

This role is a full-time permanent position reporting to our Reporting, Analytics & Business Intelligence Manager in our national office. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, with flexibility to balance remote and on-site work.

Our national office serves as the hub for supporting our aged care facilities across Australia, and our team plays an integral part in this organization. This is an exciting time to join our organization, as we continue to grow and expand our services.

The primary focus of this Data Integration Specialist role is on all activities associated with data integration from source systems, transforming data into business-ready information for deployment to the business intelligence environment. They will work collaboratively with the business and other members of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team to achieve business information needs that aid and improve quality decision making.

To be considered for this role, you will:

* Have experience with source system analysis, focusing on data extraction.
* Be well-versed in data modeling techniques, including data vault and star schema.
* Be highly proficient in data integration activities, primarily using Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database.
* Communicate and collaborate with business representatives to understand information needs.
* Design and build data solutions with data transformations close to the source, minimizing downstream processing.
* Investigate and resolve failures and outages in the data warehouse and BI environment.
