The Company
Our client is a retail group with a significant footprint across Australia. The business has recently entered a new phase of growth focused on operational scale, supply chain efficiency, and strengthening group financial reporting.
This is a newly created Management Accountant role within an expanding FP&A function, offering exposure to commercial decision-making, forecasting, and audit coordination in a post-acquisition environment.

The Role
Join this growing FP&A team in a temporary Management Accountant role, with a strong likelihood of extension and potential conversion to permanent. The role will report initially to the Head of Commercial & FP&A and sit at the centre of forecasting, modelling, and audit coordination.
This role will include, but will not be limited to:
Business Analysis / FP&A
* Lead budgeting and forecasting activities with a strong analytical focus
* Build, maintain, and own financial models with a clear understanding of assumptions and sensitivities
* Deliver commercial analysis to support retail performance and decision-making
* Apply advanced Excel skills to support reporting and modelling
* Partner with stakeholders across finance and the broader business
Audit & Reporting Readiness
* Coordinate audit processes following a recent acquisition
* Manage multiple audit scopes and timelines across group entities
* Act as the central point of contact between external auditors, finance teams, and senior stakeholders
* Ensure audit deadlines and reporting requirements are met
Your Background
To be considered for this Management Accountant role, you must fulfil most of the following criteria:
* Immediately available to start
* Ideally, CPA/CA or CIMA qualified
* 1–2 years' experience in a Management Accountant or Analyst role focused on budgets and forecasts
* Advanced Excel skills with experience building financial models
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders
* Exposure to retail or commercial environments preferred
* Experience with BI or planning tools is beneficial but not essential
