Description
Our Geotechnical team services projects across various industries and sectors, working collaboratively with local government, residential developers, rail authorities, education, commercial and industrial clients. Due to exceptional success and continued growth in our Geotechnical team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Newcastle office.
In this role, you will contribute by providing geotechnical expertise in residential, transport, and infrastructure projects for all project stages, from geotech investigation to detailed design and construction supervision.
Day To Day Tasks
Plan, coordinate, and manage field data acquisition, site investigations, testing, and produce calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings to ensure geotechnical designs provide appropriate solutions.
Undertake geotechnical analysis in areas such as slope stability, pavement designs, foundations, and retaining walls.
Provide quality check and review experience to an appropriate technical standard.
Plan, program, and coordinate geotechnical project inputs to deliver the outputs on budget, on time, and to quality standards.
Prepare proposals and carry out other internal/external marketing initiatives as required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with completion of geotechnical electives or major.
Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting or recognized as a senior engineer in your current role.
Experience with soil investigation, supervision, and geotechnical design.
Experience with engineering software such as gINT, GEOSTUDIO, PLAXIS, ROCSCIENCE, CIRCLY, AutoCAD.
