Your key accountabilities
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:
Support the development and implementation of the organisation's social media engagement strategy, style guidelines and governance procedures to achieve effective online engagement with Queensland communities.
Develop and design engaging social media content for varying online audiences.
Proactively engage in online discussion across varying social media platforms to promote crime prevention initiatives, maintain community confidence and provide information on public safety matters to reassure community members.
Work collaboratively with the QPS digital intelligence, Media and Public Affairs and Crime Prevention teams to execute operational and organisational objectives.
Support the moderation of high-priority social media content published across QPS platforms.
Educate and provide social media training to relevant internal staff to ensure consistency of tone and approach to social media engagement.
Represent the Media and Public Affairs Group and the QPS at meetings with clients and stakeholders of the QPS.

Applicants with formal qualifications and/or experience in communications, media and/or marketing will be favourably considered

The business unit may schedule some duties outside of business hours.
