Project Engineer
A project engineer leads and manages the entire project lifecycle of capital investment projects from concept to execution within a manufacturing environment. This includes ensuring cross-functional teams deliver objectives aligned to various project charters.
* Implementation involves managing safety protocols for the plant, products, and personnel.
* Preliminary analysis is conducted for projects including building, utilities, services, equipment, and layout.
* Supervision of installation of equipment and responsibility for scope are key responsibilities.
* Site technical drawings and documentation are updated or created as necessary.
* The project engineer executes basic and detailed design based on corporate business principles, company standards, local regulations, and user requirements specifications.
* Safety by design during construction and ongoing operation of the plant is ensured.
* Leadership and coordination of stakeholders' contributions are required to implement the project in accordance with defined timing, cost, and quality.
* Efforts are coordinated with start-up managers and their teams to ensure a smooth transition to operations after qualification and verification of the installation have been finalized.
* Contractors' activities are selected, qualified, and coordinated.
To be successful, you will need:
* A strong drive to deliver quality outcomes against project charters with efficiency and passion for continuous process improvement.
* Completion of tertiary study in mechanical, manufacturing, chemical, automation, or mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in the engineering field.
* Project management skills, including analytical and budgetary skills.
* Experience working in food manufacturing environments is preferred.
* Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams, managing and leading teams effectively.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence and negotiate high standards of performance and quality.
* Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives, tracking them proactively.
