Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty diesel vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations
* Repair and replace worn parts as needed
* Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components
* Diagnose and test parts using computer assistance
* Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
* Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
* Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist
Requirements:
* Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanic or related field
* Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
* Good IT and diagnostic skills
* Physically fit
* Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
* Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Good organizational skills
* Minimum of three years post-trade experience in the same field
