About the role
JK road transport is seeking an experienced Linehaul driver to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Linehaul driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances in a safe and efficient manner. This is a full-time position that will involve driving along established routes and maintaining a consistent schedule.
What you'll be doing
* Driving heavy vehicles such as semi-trailers and B-doubles along designated routes
* Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of goods at pickup and delivery points
* Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any maintenance or repair needs
* Maintaining detailed trip logs and other documentation as required
* Adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies
* Providing exceptional customer service to clients
What we're looking for
* A valid heavy vehicle driver's licence with the appropriate endorsements
* Proven experience as a Linehaul driver, preferably within the road transport industry
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
* A commitment to safe driving practices and a clean driving record
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
