Tassal is looking for a Strategic Initiatives Manager to join our innovative Farming Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the general managers of salmon and freshwater operations in managing programs, ensuring alignment and support while leading key initiatives. We seek someone with a blend of project/program management expertise and process/operations experience to play a vital role in our strategic improvement initiatives and CAPEX projects.Support senior management on a multi-million dollar program.Drive the delivery of our improvement program pipeline.Monitor and report on key improvement initiatives.Collaborate with initiative leads to ensure timely project delivery.Lead critical capital and process improvement projects.Champion a culture of continuous improvement across multiple sites.Support CAPEX projects as a Start-Up Lead or Project Manager.This role is essential for the safe and efficient operation of our Farming Operations and the achievement of our business KPIs and improvement projects.What You'll BringAt Tassal, we recently introduced Our Blueprint, our strategic vision for the future. As a Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will play a crucial role in bringing this vision to life.Technical Skills & KnowledgeTo excel in this role, you will need:Proven experience in program and project management.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.In-depth understanding of Lean and process control principles; Six Sigma training is a plus, along with a track record of process optimization.Experience in manufacturing or operations leadership; a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline is advantageous.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate cross-functional problem-solving events.Demonstrated success in driving results through continuous improvement tools and methodologies.Proficiency in computer skills and project management systems.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Hands-on experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives.In this role, you will assist the general managers of salmon and freshwater operations in managing programs, ensuring alignment and support while leading key initiatives.
