As a Senior Lawyer, you will lead significant insurance work for the Crown Law team. You will mentor and develop junior lawyers, shaping the future of the organization.
This is a key leadership role within a respected government legal team. You will work on complex, high-quality general liability matters and have the opportunity to represent the team in strategic planning and whole-of-office initiatives.
* Lead the most complex, sensitive litigation conducted by the team across all courts and tribunals.
* Mentor, supervise and manage other lawyers in the team on a range of matters.
* Assist in managing team operations, including file allocation, performance development and resource planning.
* Represent the team in strategic planning and whole-of-office initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Admission as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland with a minimum of 8 years' PAE demonstrated insurance experience.
* Deep understanding of relevant legislation and court processes.
* Strong leadership skills with experience guiding, mentoring and delegating to junior lawyers.
* Proven ability to manage complex files and provide authoritative legal advice with a high degree of autonomy.
