Overview Retail Learning and Development is part of the Global Retail People and Culture team partnering with Mobility and Convenience. This role is responsible for development and execution of skills management strategies, interventions, and programmes that align with bp’s business and talent goals for Retail teams across ANZ. Role accountabilities Understands the strategic workforce and skill development context for their area of responsibility and how this connects to common priorities across bp to ensure solutions deliver maximum value Ensures external management hires receive training, so they have the necessary knowledge, skills and capability to perform their role safely and compliantly Manages standardized and consistent internal development programmes to enable future succession planning Provides Management Development solutions and tools for line managers to support the performance and capability of our management teams Contributes to the creation of the prioritized skills required for their area of responsibility, including detailed needs analysis Builds strong working relationships to ensure solutions developed and executed meet needs by creating an effective atmosphere for collaboration between subject matter experts, customers, and the learning offer and design team. Enables access to solutions by marketing learning and community building. Advocates for LMS to drive adoption, usage and business impact Uses data, insights and feedback to recommend changes to ensure performance outcomes are achieved and solutions are refined to increase impact and efficiency. Analyse learning data metrics and share with local stakeholders to identify opportunities for learning offer improvement and engagement Collaborate with BTC teams / content designers and other learning advisers to deliver alignment across markets/business on manager training programmes Manage any other specific trainees/ learning programs e.g. apprenticeships Required qualifications Formal education: Degree or equivalent desirable, learning and Development certification / qualification also desirable Understanding of retail operations Deep understanding and experience of applying learning and development in a similar business Proven ability to deliver balanced solutions, combining business-specific expertise and retail operational knowledge with a strong understanding of people development.
