Societal Impact Evaluation Specialist Opportunity
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking a Societal Impact Evaluation Specialist to design and implement the institution's inaugural Societal Impact Framework (SIF). This framework will provide a comprehensive understanding of UNSW's impact across research, education, engagement, and operations and governance.
As a key member of the Division of Societal Impact, Equity and Engagement, you will work closely with senior leaders across faculties and divisions to deliver and oversee the framework. Your expertise in both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods will be crucial in developing a framework that captures the university's impact effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the Societal Impact Framework's evaluation and reporting cycle, assessing methods and frameworks to recommend an effective approach for capturing the university's impact
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals through effective planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and timely resolution of issues
- Present impact data and insights clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders, translating findings into actionable recommendations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience
- Proven advanced project management experience, with an in-depth understanding of the project life cycle and strategic development of project plans, objectives, and documentation
- Excellent consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
