Location: Central Coast
Hours: 6 to 10 hours PW (opportunity to grow your roster)
Your Role
* Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
* Emotional Support: Foster meaningful connections with participants to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Encouraging Independence: Support participants in achieving independence and personal goals outlined in their care plans.
* Household Assistance: Help with meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry to ensure a safe living environment.
* Safety and Monitoring: Ensure participant safety, conduct regular assessments, maintain accurate records, and follow safety protocols.
* Compliance: Adhere to NDIS and organisational policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
* A current and valid driver's license.
* Current First Aid Certificate (with a commitment to maintaining this certification).
* Current vehicle insurance and ability to maintain coverage throughout employment.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
* Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards online worker training module.
* Certificate of completion in Medication Management training or willingness to obtain.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* National Police Check.
* Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
Preferred:
* Experience supporting participants with mental health needs.
* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support.
* Staff that are available and wanting to work
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Proactive team player
* Desire to contribute to a positive workplace environment
