Responsibilities Lead complex engineering solutions across large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants and pump stations (=500 L/s).
Take ownership of mechanical design and commissioning, select and specify equipment, optimise processes, support construction, and manage risk in line with WHS and industry standards.
Guide teams through every project phase from planning to operational handover.
Provide expert oversight on mechanical design and installation, and contribute to bids and tenders by reviewing documentation and refining cost estimates.
Collaborate with procurement teams to define scopes and engage vendors.
Build strong client relationships and act as a key technical contact.
Mentor junior engineers, drive continuous improvement and champion innovation to ensure successful project outcomes.
About You Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or a related discipline).
Proven leadership in mechanical design for water and wastewater treatment projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, familiar with digital engineering platforms such as BIM and Revit.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities.
Excellent technical writing and organisational skills, and a genuine passion for mentoring and team development.
