The Project Manager provides consulting services for our financial services client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives.
The Project Manager will lead retail bank construction renovations, including interior remodels, ADA upgrades, exteriors (signage, roofs, parking lots), and infrastructure projects.
This role is part of the Project Management function, responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion.
It is a remote position, but requires being located within Northern California to facilitate site visits.
The role involves approximately 40% day travel throughout the San Jose to San Francisco area.
What you'll do
Manage all aspects of project management for commercial real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Interface directly with clients to prepare all project elements, including scope of work, resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk management.
Define project delivery resources via pre-qualified lists or project qualification processes.
Conduct RFPs, evaluate bids, and recommend resources to clients.
Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.
Ensure project data integrity and accurate, timely documentation.
Develop action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule; track progress and report on status and variances.
Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans to reduce or eliminate risks.
Mentor team members and share knowledge across relevant fields within the function.
Lead by example, demonstrating CBRE RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence), and work to build consensus and agreement among stakeholders.
What you'll need
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Bachelor's degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; alternative experience and education will be considered.
LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM certifications are preferred.
Proven experience with large-volume retail bank projects and clients is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).
Experience with PMWeb is preferred; Protrak experience is a plus.
Knowledge of leases, contracts, construction practices, and ability to read architectural drawings.
Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mentality.
