Responsibilities Include:
Support improvement of OEE & MME by line:
* Supporting problem solving activities and owning containment design and implementation.
* Ensure machine changeovers are completed in full and the equipment is tested prior to and during production.
Communicate with Production Shift Managers with regards to changeovers and daily equipment issues from production reports affecting performance.
Lead the mechanical and electrical trades team:
* Supervise work for Repair and Maintenance (R&M) sheets when required and follow up on all completed work.
* To supervise and monitor all works being carried out during the shift and in planned downtime.
* Ensure clear communication between the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Shift employees for work related to Maintenance and Safety Issues
Responsible for managing staff and maintaining Refresco protocol for disciplinary action when necessary.
Support site maintenance planning:
* Work with Maintenance Planners to execute planned maintenance.
* Maintain a good understanding of all facilities, including which Lines, Processes and Utilities are critical to the business and where failure can have an unacceptable impact on Safety, Environment or Compliance.
Develop maintenance based operational programs to support MME improvement
Support cost improvement and capital projects:
* Identify energy and water consumption initiatives
Identify efficiency and net waste initiatives
Support delivery of new projects:
* Best practice design input
* Commissioning plan
Equipment KPI achievement
Align to CKP Site routines and programs
* Attendance at stakeholder meetings as required
Participate in operational programs, planning routines, etc.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills:
* At least ten (10) years manufacturing experience, preferably in the beverage or FMCG industry.
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Trade Qualifications or other relevant technical discipline.
* Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to execute plans and meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated leadership ability
* Experience on high speed continuous motion packaging equipment (SMI, Ocme etc), high speed rotary labelling and filling machines (PE, Krones, B&H etc), Ammonia Refrigeration Systems.
* Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Maintenance Planning Software etc, as well as strong analytical and organisation skills.
