Catholic Homes is seeking Home Care Support Workers to join our home care team on a casual basis with a view to permanent part-time. This position will be responsible for providing in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, and daily living supports for our home care clients.
Our Home Care team endeavours to build strong and lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home for longer and allow them to get out into the community to do the things they enjoy doing.
To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
* A roadworthy and registered vehicle and current driver's licence.
* Experience in Community Aged Care or a minimum of Cert III in aged care.
* Availability to do shift work, including morning shifts (6am – 12pm), afternoon shifts (12pm – 7pm), and weekends.
* Must have availability of at least 3 days per week and be willing to work every 2nd weekend.
* The ability to demonstrate empathy with elderly clients and a caring nature.
* Dependability, flexibility, and dedication.
* Commitment to high standards of work and representing our company positively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Pride in your work, appearance, and a desire to make a difference in others' lives through person-centered care.
