This role focuses on empowering individuals to maximise their independence and capacity in creative ways. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals to maintain and grow their independence in daily living tasks.
* You will work collaboratively with individuals to set goals and develop strategies to enhance their quality of life.
* Your expertise will be invaluable in assisting individuals with meal preparation, household tasks, and transporting them to engage with medical and allied health services.
* You will provide companionship and champion individuals to achieve their goals, promoting a sense of belonging and purpose.
* Medication administration and first aid response are critical components of this role, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of care.
To be successful in this position, you must possess:
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
* Working With Children Check
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
* Valid Australian Drivers Licence & Comprehensive Third-Party Insurance
* Proof of COVID Vaccinations
* Cert III or IV in Individual Support or relevant experience
* Experience, exposure, or knowledge of mental health
