About the Role
Play a pivotal part in strengthening Queensland's building and construction industry by overseeing the delivery of mechanical maintenance and construction activities. This role focuses on safety, high-quality workmanship, project profitability, and client satisfaction.
* Provide expert mechanical engineering advice to workers, clients, and authorities.
* Ensure legislation, codes, and protocols are up-to-date and communicated effectively.
* Manage mechanical construction, maintenance, and upgrades while leading teams and maintaining standards.
* Champion safety through regular audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
* Develop tender documents, quotations, and project trade packages with accurate estimates.
* Represent supervisors for key projects, ensuring smooth delivery and success.
* Provide technical support for small installations, repairs, upgrades, and additions.
* Mentor mechanical apprentices, guiding them towards skilled tradespersons.
* Establish a safe and inclusive work environment, adhering to HR and WHS standards.
